Oleic Acid/RAMEB Complex is a host-guest inclusion complex comprising oleic acid, a cis-monounsaturated C18 fatty acid, encapsulated within randomly methylated-β-cyclodextrin (RAMEB). The hydrophilic exterior and hydrophobic cavity of RAMEB significantly enhance the aqueous solubility, chemical stability, and bioavailability of the lipophilic fatty acid. This specialized formulation is primarily utilized as a transcellular permeation enhancer and lipid delivery vector in cell culture research.
