6-deoxy-6-[(5/6)-rhodaminylthioureido]-beta-cyclodextrin is a fluorescently labeled cyclodextrin derivative featuring a rhodaminyl fluorophore attached to the primary hydroxyl rim at C(6) via a chemically stable thioureido group. Each cyclodextrin ring contains a fluorescent unit, providing a water-soluble probe whose solubility increases in alkaline environments. This fine chemical grade reagent is primarily used in fluorescent microscopy, chemosensors, host-guest complexation, and biological transport studies.
