Myoglobin Protein from Human Heart
$295.00
Catalog #: P2010022 (0.2 mg)
Myoglobin is a heme-containing protein that is found in the muscle tissue of vertebrates. Likewise Hemoglobin, Myoglobin binds oxygen albeit with a higher and in a non-sigmoid fashion. Unlike Hemoglobin that transports oxygen, Myoglobin is a good protein to store oxygen. Myoglobin is never found in the bloodstream unless the patient suffers a muscle injury. As such, with other markers, Myoglobin can help in diagnosing medical conditions such as heart attacks. Protein is available in 0.2 mg sizes and bulk amounts.
