Pyronin Y

Original price was: $1,195.00.Current price is: $595.00.

Catalog Number: B2027044 (100 mg)
Pyronin Y is a cationic xanthene dye that intercalates into double-stranded nucleic acids, serving as a highly selective fluorescent marker for RNA. It is widely utilized in biology and histology to quantify cellular RNA content, visualize cellular structures, and differentiate cell cycle phases, such as distinguishing quiescent G0 cells from proliferating G1 cells when combined with a DNA-specific compound. Additionally, this versatile compound functions in the differential visualization of DNA and RNA in tissue sections. Custom bulk amounts of this product are available upon request.
