Catalog Number: B2027042 (100 mg)
Erythrosin B is a versatile xanthene-based red fluorescein dye primarily utilized in biological research as a non-toxic vital stain for assessing cell viability and counting in both eukaryotic cells and diverse bacterial species. Operating on the principle of membrane exclusion, this water-soluble organoiodine compound effectively permeates membrane-compromised dead cells to stain them a distinct red or pink while being excluded by viable cells.
