Applications: multipurpose non-ionic surfactant very often used to optimize protein-protein interactions. It can also be used as emulsifier, helping mix lipids in aqueous enviorments. Unlike SDS, Triton is classified as a mild non-denaturing detergent. Triton finds numerous applications in cell lysis, reagent stabilization, inactivation of viruses, destabilization of cellular membranes and more.
