[Sar9, Met(O2)11]-Substance P is a synthetic analog of the neuropeptide Substance P. The amino acid residues have been modified: Sar9 replaces the 9th amino acid with Sarcosine, enhancing stability, and Met(O2)11 oxidizes the 11th amino acid to Methionine sulfoxide, affecting biological activity.
