Lipid Droplet Staining Dye selectively segregates into the neutral lipid cores of Lipid Droplets and emits a blue fluorescent light (Ex. 405 nm / Em. 450 – 500 nm) that can be used with conventional green and red fluorescent reporters in live-cell imaging. This dye can visualize Lipid Droplets in both cell cultures and fixed tissues. Lipid droplets (LDs) are composed of neutral lipids such as triacylglycerols and cholesteryl esters and are ubiquitously in many cell types. This product is for in vitro research use only and is not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
