Kligler Iron Agar (KIA) is a differential culture medium for identifying enteric bacteria. It differentiates organisms based on sugar fermentation and hydrogen sulfide production. KIA contains peptones, glucose, lactose, phenol red, iron salts, and agar. This product has been used as a molecular tool for various biochemical applications.
