Catalog Number: B2027382 (100 mg)
Heptakis(2,3-di-O-methyl-6-deoxy-6-amino)-beta-cyclodextrin heptahydrochloride is a chemically modified, cationic derivative of beta-cyclodextrin featuring per-functionalized methyl groups at the 2- and 3-positions and amino groups at the 6-positions. The methylation significantly enhances aqueous solubility while preserving the hydrophobic cavity for encapsulation of lipophilic host molecules. The primary amino groups, present as hydrochloride salts, impart a strong positive charge at physiological pH, making it useful for gene transfection and host-guest supramolecular chemistry.
