Applications: stock solution of betaine (also known as trimethylglycine or N,N,N triethylammonium acetate) which is an analog of glycine with three methyl groups. Betaine is useful in PCR applications because it has an effect on the melting temperature difference between GC and AT base pairs in DNA.
